Five Ways to Wear a Wide Leg Pant, From Desk to Dinner
One pair of wide-leg pants, five outfits — from a Monday desk to a Friday dinner. How the waistband, the drape and your shoes do most of the work.

There is a kind of wardrobe maths most of us do badly. We buy for occasions — one thing for the office, one thing for the weekend, one thing for dinner out — and end up with a full wardrobe and nothing to wear.
The Nomad Modal Wide Leg Pant makes the opposite argument. It is our best-selling pant, and when we read what customers actually write about it, one word keeps surfacing. Not comfortable, not flattering — though they say those too. Versatile.
They are the perfect pants for almost every day. So versatile! Travel, running around, brunch / lunch/ drinks - what ever top & shoes you pair them with changes the way they look on.

That is the whole idea. Below: five ways to wear one pair, from a Monday desk to a Friday dinner.

First, why this pant takes styling so well
Three things do most of the work.
The fabric falls instead of clinging. Our signature sustainable TENCEL™ Modal has a fluid drape and a genuinely soft hand, which is why the same silhouette can read relaxed or sharp depending on what you put above it. A structured jacket makes it tailored. A soft knit makes it easy.
There is no zip or button. The pull-on waistband means you decide where it sits — high on the natural waist for a longer line, or eased down for something more relaxed. That single choice changes the whole proportion of an outfit.
The leg is wide but balanced. At a 72.5 cm inseam it is long enough to flow without swallowing your shoes, which matters when footwear is doing the heavy lifting between looks.
Five ways to wear it
The desk
Wear the waistband high and tuck in a fine-knit or fitted tee, so the eye reads one long line from shoulder to hem. Add a structured jacket — a shoulder is what separates polished from comfortable. Finish with a loafer or a low block heel, which keeps the hem sitting where it was cut to sit.
This is the look customers describe most often, and it holds up for people whose workdays involve actual movement, too.
They feel just like PJs but look smart and stylish enough for the office.

Smart casual — the coffee-run version
Same pant, almost none of the same signals. Leave the top untucked and let it break at the hip. Choose a boxy tee or a relaxed shirt, and swap the loafer for a clean white sneaker.
The trick here is to stop the outfit looking accidental. One deliberate element — a good sunglass, a structured tote, a single piece of gold — is enough to say the whole thing was a decision rather than a default.

Dinner
Wide-leg pants dress up more easily than most people expect, because the volume already reads as evening. Go darker on top, choose something with its own drape — a bias-cut or draped top works with the fabric rather than against it — and put the waistband back up high.
Then let one thing be sharp: a heel, a bare shoulder, or a hard-edged earring against all that softness. Contrast is what makes a soft fabric look intentional at night.
So comfortable yet so stylish - I will be buying more of these - so versatile - wear them to work, dress them up for evening wear or dress down for smart casual, or cosy travel wear.

The travel day
This is the use case customers volunteer without being asked. The reasoning is always the same: they want something roomier and softer than leggings that still looks like an outfit at the other end.
Style it as a deliberate set rather than a compromise: a layer tee, a jacket you can ball up as a pillow, slip-on shoes for security queues. And use the pockets.
Ive been looking for a great pair of travel pants. These are it. I love the soft feel, the drape, and wide leg is much more flattering than leggings

Also, any pants with pockets is a winner!

The weekend
The least engineered version, and the one that gets worn most. An oversized shirt or a soft sweatshirt, sleeves pushed up, flats or canvas sneakers. Nothing tucked, nothing considered.
It is also the version that explains why people own more than one pair.
These pants are secret pajamas.

A note on fit
The cut is relaxed rather than fitted, and the size run goes from XXS through to 4XL. If you are between sizes, the size chart on the product page lists the measurements — worth two minutes, particularly for the waist and inseam.
On length: 72.5 cm suits a lot of heights, and where you sit the waistband will shift the hem a little. Your shoe height does the rest.
Where to start
If you are buying one, buy the one you will reach for on a Monday. Nomad Modal Wide Leg Pant in Black is the version that does all five of the looks above without argument; Charcoal is the softer alternative if your wardrobe already leans warm.
Then do the honest test: put it on for the desk look, and see whether you change before dinner.
